The Dower House and the surrounding countryside can only be truly appreciated on foot. To the west of Lyme, is the Undercliff National Nature Reserve, one of the wildest and most unspoilt areas of the coast and accessible only to walkers. For the more adventurous the Heritage Coast footpath stretches for over twenty miles to the east and west of Lyme - official recognition of the area’s beauty, rarity and need for protection.

For those of you who crave something more, we recommend a visit to Beer, a romantic fishing port 25 minutes drive from the Hotel. If you stop on the way at Axmouth or Seaton, there is a mountain of leisure amenities to entertain you.
