There are numerous golf courses in the area, which are in easy reach of the hotel. These include: Axe Cliff, Lyme Regis & Woodbury Park, to name a few. We would be happy to arrange tee times for you.
We can arrange fishing trips for you from the Cobb at Lyme Regis. You can take a Mackerel boat around the bay or go into deeper waters for cod, conger, skate or Pollock fishing. All equipment can be supplied.
In addition, there are also numerous well-stocked lakes inland including Amhurst Lodge Farm Fly Fishery (Trout Fishing) in Uplyme, which is open all year round. There are 6 freshwater trout lakes fed by the River Lyme and coarse fishing runs from mid June to Mid March.
There are a number of riding schools nearby for your equestrian requirements and we would happy to organise lessons or treks for you.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage headquarters is situated 3 minutes from the hotel and runs a wide range of daytime cookery courses and evening events. In addition, his Canteen restaurant and store is in Axminster, which is 5 minutes from the hotel.
In addition, you can take scenic boat trips out from Lyme Regis, go sailing, yachting, swimming, wind surfing and body boarding. There is also a scuba diving school in the area. |
